Paediatric Emergency Medicine Fellows at UCLH

Applications are welcomed from dynamic and enthusiastic ST4+ Paediatric trainees.  The posts offer an opportunity to consolidate Paediatric Emergency Medicine competencies for those interested in PEM with a view to GRID application or to upskill in acute paediatric medicine and trauma. 40%of the post will be dedicated to developing pursue an interest in one of the following:

  • Education and Simulation fellowship – Broad based practical training in simulation and education with development of an ED based multidisciplinary education programme.  Opportunity  to complete a Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education at University College London.
  • Research and Quality Improvement fellowships – Opportunities to pursue research include evaluation of digital interventions, clinical trials, novel therapeutics and diagnostics. Established links exist with the sepsis network and PERUKI. Opportunity to develop and complete projects with expertise and ground support of the research and quality improvement teams.

The post holder will be allocated 60% of their working time to clinical duties in Paediatric Emergency Medicine and 40% to establish skills and achieve outcomes in an area of interest, as above.  This is an established OOPE.

Start date September 2021 for 12 months.

This role is supported across both the Emergency Services and Paediatric divisions.
