Transition to Leadership

Transition to Leadership is a free 2-day course organised by the London School of Paediatrics to help prepare trainees for the transition from tier 1 to tier 2. Topics covered include:

• Life as a new SpR
• Leading at night
• Child protection
• Consent
• When a child dies
• Delegation and conflict resolution
• Complaints and serious incidents

As part of the course, you will also have access to a wealth of excellent online resources from other registrars who have recently gone through the transition process.

I am not a London trainee, can I still attend? 

This is an annual course with limited space. Priority for the January 2025 course will be given to those who will be in a London deanery ST3b/ST4 post in March 2025 or September 2025, or those who stepped up in Sept 2024 and have not previously attended T2L. If this does not apply to you, please apply via the waiting list on Medtribe. We will contact those on the waiting list prior if there is sufficient space on the course.
