The highly popular Transition to Leadership course is back for 2021. Dates have now been confirmed for days 1 & 2 of the course:
- Friday 7th May 2022
- Friday 14th May 2022
These will be 1/2 day sessions in the afternoon, but a full day of study leave is recommended to view the online resources. Priority will be given to those who can attend both days.
There will be a 3rd day in Autumn (date tbc).
What is transition to leadership?
Transition to Leadership is a free course organised by the London School of Paediatrics to help prepare paediatric SHOs for the transition to registrar level. This well established course ran for several years face-to-face, and due to Covid-19, had been been adapted to run virtually for 2021.
Topics covered will include: Life as a new registrar, Dealing with death, Safeguarding, Consent, and 'What I expect from a new registrar: The consultant opinion'
In the morning you can access our online resources (course handbook, pre-recorded webinars, and links to other useful information). The afternoon will be a series of talks and interactive workshops.
I am not a trainee, can I still attend?
Yes if you are due to start your first paediatric registrar post this course will still be suitable for you, but priority will be given to those in training posts
I am not training in London, can I still attend?
Yes, but spaces are limited so priority will be given to London Trainees.
