This is the London School of Paediatrics (LSP) simulation course – aimed at resident doctors working within the LSP. It is suitable for very new residents (ST1-2) and those approaching or new to middle grade posts (ST3-4). The day is a mixture of high fidelity paediatric and neonatal scenarios, with embedded part task training.
There are also 2 spaces per course for senior residents (ST5-7) who are keen to be part of the faculty and develop their own skills in simulation organisation and debrief.
Due to the high demand for simulation courses, we are asking for a deposit for this course that will be fully refunded after the candidate has attended the course and filled in an anonymous feedback form.
For cancellations >6 weeks before the course date, the deposit minus the administration charge (approximately 30p) will be refunded.
For cancellations <6 weeks before the course date, the deposit is non-refundable except in extenuating circumstances. If you feel this applies to you then please contact rebecca.hodgkinson2@nhs.net.
The deposit goes through a 3rd party (Stripe) who take a small non-refundable administration fee with each booking (approximately 30p). Please review the course requisites before booking. If you do not meet the course requisites, you will be refunded the deposit minus the administration charge.
Where deposits are not refunded (for example if the candidate fails to attend the course and does not contact the organisers) the deposit will be paid to the London Child Health Education Network LTD which supports the LSP. Money from unrefunded deposits will be used to support other LSP education and training activities.
