LEARNING AIMS:
The Interactive Paediatric ECG Course is specifically designed for those who want to become confident in the interpretation of paediatric ECG. Learning will be enhanced by in-depth review of a very large number of traces covering the full spectrum of ECG abnormalities.
LEARNING OUTCOMES:
By the end of this course, delegates will be able to:
– Understand the characteristics of a normal ECG
– Make the difference between an adult and a paediatric ECG
– Develop an approach to tachycardias (irregular / regular, narrow / wide complex)
– Discuss the indications and contraindications of Adenosine
– Know how to approach atrial / ventricular ectopy
– Understand blocks (sinoatrial, atrioventricular, fascicular, bundle branch blocks)
– Recognise signs of atrial enlargement and ventricular hypertrophy
– Explore the differential diagnosis of ST-segment changes
– Recognise various types of T-wave abnormalities
Last year’s feedback:
– “This was one of the best courses I have ever attended and I will be recommending
my colleagues widely.”
– “The course was excellent.”
– “Excellent study day with a really useful review of paediatric ECGs.”
