Best Practice:

  • At the earliest opportunity, new starters will be emailed with details including: -
    • Key contact list: including, but not limited to: guardian of safe working, LTFT champion, HR, College Tutor, Director of Medical Education, Payroll, BMA industrial relations officer, junior doctor forum president, local negotiating committee lead, PGME
    • The process for claiming study leave & transferring mandatory training certification
    • Information on the local junior doctor forum
    • Car parking/permit application information
    • Checklist of all IT logins/system access required by the doctor to complete all aspects of their role. Including but not limited to:
      • myESR logins with signposting re. accessing payslips (i.e. via myESR or SBS pay)
      • Exception reporting system
      • Online study leave systems (where applicable)
  • Admin time is rostered within paid-working hours to complete mandatory training
