What is PICH?
This is a programme for trainees in Integrated Child Health which gives a strong introduction to new ways of working.
It is a one year programme that participants “do” alongside their clinical jobs which consists of working through various themes related to integrated child health. These are:
- What is integrated child health
- Using data to drive change
- Understanding patient experience
- Working clinically in an integrated way
- Leading the development of integrated services
Participants are supported by PICH mentors, and monthly meetings paired with CYP seminars – see below. All participants are expected to do several pieces of work allied to these themes which represent quality improvement work.
Who is it aimed at?
It is aimed at ST5 upwards but relevant to all. We are currently exploring the possibility of extending to GP trainees as well.
