Transition to Leadership is a free 2-day course organised by the London School of Paediatrics to help prepare paediatric tier 1 trainees for the transition to tier 2. This well-established course ran for several years face-to-face, was adapted to run virtually from 2021 and is now BACK face-to-face. It generally runs in Jan/Feb.

- Life as a new SpR
- Leading at night
- Child protection
- Consent
- When a child dies
- Delegation and conflict resolution
- Complaints and serious incidents
As part of the course, you will also have access to a wealth of excellent online resources from registrars who have recently gone through the transition process.
Who can attend: This course is designed for London tier 1 trainees moving to tier 2. The course is intended for LSP trainees who will take priority in booking. If you are a non-trainee or a trainee outside of London, you can register your interest by emailing t2l@doctors.org.uk and you will be contacted 1-2 weeks prior to the course if there is sufficient space.
