What is transition to leadership?

Transition to Leadership is a free course organised by the London School of Paediatrics to help prepare paediatric SHOs for the transition to registrar level. This well-established course ran for several years face-to-face, and due to Covid-19, had been been adapted to run virtually from 2021.

Topics covered will include: Life as a new registrar, Dealing with death, Safeguarding, Consent, and ‘What I expect from a new registrar: The consultant opinion’

As part of the course you will also have access to a wealth of excellent online resources put together by other registrars who have gone through the transition process.

I am not a trainee, can I still attend?

Yes if you are due to start your first paediatric registrar post this course will still be suitable for you, but priority will be given to those in training posts.

I am not training in London, can I still attend?

Yes, but spaces are limited so priority will be given to London Trainees.
