The primary focus of this half-day course is to equip you with the knowledge and skills to undertaken ultra-sound guided venous cannulation of infants and children.

Our intention is to enable you to begin using ultrasound in your day-to-day beside practice when cannulating infants and children.

In addition, we will demonstrate arterial, PICC and central line insertion and provide you with the opportunity to try some of these procedures whilst building on your ultrasounds handling skills, if you wish.

Finally, we will deliver a session on chest and lung bedside ultrasound assessment, and an introductory overview of focused echocardiogram assessment. These later topics will set you up well for considering more detailed courses to further develop these skills and knowledge later on if you wish.
