The London School of Paediatrics Simulation TPDs and Simulation network are delighted to announce details of the Simulation programme for 2021.
As many of you know we felt that it was super important to run this programme for our ST3 doctors and so we ran a modified programme in 2020 as follows:
1. Full Immersion WITH Part Task training – half days for ST3 trainees at their places of work / or combined with another centre
2. Virtual Communication training – half days for ST3 trainees
The feedback we had from these days was extremely positive and the training was very well received.
Sadly we are still unable to meet as before and it may be a little while until social distancing guidance truly changes. We will be therefore running the following training for 2021:
1. Full Immersion WITH Part Task training – these will be half days for ST3 trainees at their places of work / or combined with another centre. We will have room for ST1 trainees at these days and if you are an ST1 trainee then please look at the dates on the LSP Simulation page and contact your local centre to join them.
2. Virtual Communication training – these half days are for ST3 trainees only.
We are aware that there may be trainees who may be completing Level 1 training and are not in ST3 training so please contact your Simulation TPD to find out how you can join the training days for the Full Immersion WITH Part Task days at a centre where you will have reduced footfall. You can sign up to the Communication training days via the Simulation page and please let the team know.
We are just collating dates and these will go on the website when they are organised… so please wait rather than contact us directly!
If you have missed out on these days in 2020 then also please let us know if you would like to attend.
The Simulation TPDs are:
Amutha Anpananthar – NCEL firstname.lastname@example.org
Trisha Radia – SL email@example.com
Mehrengise Cooper – NWL firstname.lastname@example.org
We also have the support of Jane Runnacles – an Honorary Simulation TPD – and so if you are based at St George’s then please contact her!
Thanks so much and we are so excited to be able to offer this training to you all this year.
Take care, stay safe and please get in touch with any questions.
