London GRID applications for 2019
At Level 3 of training trainees have the opportunity to sub-specialise in a specific area of paediatrics through the NTN Grid. To be eligible you must fulfil the following essential criteria:
You must have completed level 2 training by the time of starting the grid programme in the September 2019 following application
If you have completed level 2 training, you must be able to complete the required paediatric sub-specialty by your CCT date. CCT dates cannot be changed to accommodate subspecialty training. It is important that you have enough time before your CCT date to complete the subspecialty training that you have chosen. For trainees applying in the 2019 round CCT dates will generally be July/Aug 2021 or 2022 to allow 2 or 3 years of sub-specialty training.
You should be on an outcome 1 at the time of application and at the time of starting in your Grid post.
You should meet the additional essential criteria on the person specification.
The recruitment timeline looks as follows:
- Applications will open at 12 noon, Friday 7th September 2018
- Applications close at 12 noon, Friday 28th September 2018
- Interview Period: 19th November to 30th November 2018
All applications submitted must have the 2019 confirmation of eligibility form attached to their application. The confirmation of eligibility form can be downloaded from the RCPCH website.
Applicants who are shortlisted for interview will be required to submit a deanery reference.
It is the applicant’s responsibility to provide the eligibility forms (available from the RCPCH website) and follow up with their deanery contact before application and interview stage. Your eligibility forms must be received no later than 21 September 2018.
