Lewis Spitz & Edward M Kiely Symposium with the 75th Simpson-Smith Memorial Lecture

The Lewis Spitz & Edward M Kiely Symposium, held in honour of Lewis Spitz & Edward M Kiely, is one of the highlights of the UK Paediatric Surgical calendar. It is followed by the Simpson-Smith Memorial Lecture, held in memory of Alexander Simpson-Smith who was a surgeon at Great Ormond Hospital in the 1930s and was tragically lost in action during World War II.

The 75th Simpson-Smith Memorial Lecture will be given by Professor Atsuyuki Yamataka, M.D., PhD, Department of Paediatric General and Urogenital Surgery, Juntendo University Faculty of Medicine, Tokyo, Japan.

This years symposium will focus on Liver and Pancreas Diseases, with topics to include:

  • Choledochal cyst
  • Fluorescence Guided Surgery
  • Basic Science
